BUILD A KIT

Work with your family to make an emergency evacuation kit in case a flood, severe weather, fire, earthquake or other disaster forces you to leave home. Make sure everyone knows where the kit is stored and who will be responsible for taking it along. Collect: q Blankets q Flashlights q Radio q Extra batteries q First aid supplies q Cash q Medicines q Toilet paper q Pet food q Cell phone car charger q One complete change of clothing and shoes per person, including wet-weather gear q Enough food, water and supplies for three days in easy-to-grab backpacks or a large plastic box

Putting it all together In small groups, create a presentation for the class using at least five of the natural gas safety tips from the list you created or those on pages 7– 1 1 and 14–15 of this booklet. Use Google slides or a poster to present your information.
